About the Role
This full-time role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, vendor coordination experience, and a passion for preventative maintenance. You’ll work in a fast-paced production setting, ensuring everything from HVAC to production systems stays online, safe, and compliant.
Job Highlights – Facilities Maintenance and Operations Coordinator
- Pay: $31.00 – $33.00/hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time
- Location: Brookshire, TX (easy commute from Katy, Sealy, and West Houston)
- Environment: Industrial production facility
- Perks: Temp-to-hire opportunity, weekly pay, eligible for benefits, steady hours
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility and production equipment
- Manage emergency repairs and minimize downtime
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and third-party vendors
- Develop and implement cost-saving maintenance programs
- Maintain required documentation, logs, and compliance records
- Support capital projects and cost estimation for facilities work
- Ensure safe, efficient operation of building systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance and operations
- Proficient in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Hands-on experience with tools and maintenance diagnostics
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and perform physical tasks
- Strong knowledge of building codes and preventive maintenance
- Available for emergency call-outs and minor travel (<5%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in facilities, maintenance, or related field
- HVAC experience highly preferred
- Manufacturing environment experience a strong plus
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage vendor contracts
