Job Highlights

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications per USP <797>, <795>, and <800> guidelines (as applicable)
• Operate within ISO-classified cleanrooms using proper aseptic and gowning procedures
• Accurately measure, mix, and document ingredients using approved processes and equipment
• Maintain cleanroom sanitation and update batch records, logs, and inventory
• Label and package medications for pharmacist verification
• Assist with inventory control and restocking needs
• Promptly report deviations or equipment issues
• Participate in QA audits and continuous process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (or eligibility to obtain)
• 1–2 years of compounding experience (sterile, non-sterile, or both)
• Familiarity with cleanroom procedures and USP compliance standards
• Strong attention to detail and precise documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a 503A or 503B compounding pharmacy
• Knowledge of USP <800> hazardous drug handling procedures
• Experience with batch documentation software (e.g., PK Compounder, Lifefile)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable working in cleanroom attire with repetitive sterile procedures
