Job Highlights

Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications per USP <797>, <795>, and <800> guidelines (as applicable)
- Operate within ISO-classified cleanrooms using proper aseptic and gowning procedures
- Accurately measure, mix, and document ingredients using approved processes and equipment
- Maintain cleanroom sanitation and update batch records, logs, and inventory
- Label and package medications for pharmacist verification
- Assist with inventory control and restocking needs
- Promptly report deviations or equipment issues
- Participate in QA audits and continuous process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (or eligibility to obtain)
- 1–2 years of compounding experience (sterile, non-sterile, or both)
- Familiarity with cleanroom procedures and USP compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail and precise documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a 503A or 503B compounding pharmacy
- Knowledge of USP <800> hazardous drug handling procedures
- Experience with batch documentation software (e.g., PK Compounder, Lifefile)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Comfortable working in cleanroom attire with repetitive sterile procedures
