Position: Cook

Position Summary:
The Cook is responsible for supporting daily food service operations, including preparing patient meal trays, delivering meals to patient rooms, and maintaining a clean and organized cafeteria environment. This role ensures high-quality service, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meal Preparation:

  • Prepare and assemble meal trays according to patient dietary requirements and facility guidelines.

  • Ensure food portions and presentation meet quality and safety standards.

• Meal Delivery:

  • Deliver prepared trays to patients in their rooms in a timely and courteous manner.

  • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with patients and staff.

• Cafeteria & Kitchen Cleanliness:

  • Clean and sanitize cafeteria tables, service areas, and preparation surfaces.

  • Sweep and maintain floors to ensure a safe and tidy environment.

  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation procedures.

  • Organize and put away supplies, ingredients, and equipment after use.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or healthcare setting preferred.

• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation guidelines.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
