CNC Operator / Mechanical Assembler - $28/hr
Location: SouthWest Houston, TX
Pay: $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time | 1st Shift
LINK Staffing is hiring a CNC Operator / Mechanical Assembler for a full-time opportunity in Southeast Houston. This role pays $28.00 per hour and is best suited for someone with hands-on experience operating 5-axis CNC machines and assembling precision mechanical components.
This is a skilled manufacturing role. Candidates must be able to read technical drawings, work with close tolerances, use measuring tools, and support both CNC machining and mechanical assembly work.

What You’ll Do
- Operate CNC machines for precision machining work
- Assemble mechanical components and systems using drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Use hand tools and power tools for fit-up, adjustment, fastening, and finishing
- Check parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Verify measurements, alignment, fit, and overall quality during the build process
- Troubleshoot fit-up, machining, or assembly issues as needed
- Follow safety, quality, and production procedures throughout the shift
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for production
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience operating CNC machines
- Mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Comfortable working with metric measurements
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail when working with close tolerances
- Basic computer skills for production or machine-related documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive work
Preferred Experience
- Experience with machined components
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Aerospace, automotive, or high-precision manufacturing experience
- Vocational or technical training in machining or mechanical assembly
