Automotive Electronics Installer - $18-$24/hr


Location: North Houston Area
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

LINK Staffing is hiring an experienced Automotive Electronics Installer for a full-time opportunity with an established manufacturing operation in the North Houston area.


This position is designed for candidates with hands-on experience installing 12-volt electronics, aftermarket accessories, wiring harnesses, cameras, GPS equipment, radios, lighting systems, control modules, or similar equipment in vehicles.


This is not a general vehicle assembly position. Qualified candidates should be comfortable working with automotive electrical systems, reading wiring diagrams, routing wires professionally, removing interior panels, and testing completed installations.


Job Highlights

What You Will Do

  • Install aftermarket electronic equipment and accessories in vehicles

  • Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, work instructions, and installation guides

  • Route, secure, label, and protect wiring harnesses

  • Install electronic components such as:

    • LED lighting systems

    • Radios and communication equipment

    • Cameras

    • GPS and tracking equipment

    • Control modules

    • Switch panels

    • Power distribution equipment

  • Remove and reinstall interior trim panels, consoles, seats, and related vehicle components

  • Perform wire termination, crimping, soldering, and electrical connections

  • Use a multimeter and basic testing equipment to identify electrical problems

  • Test installed equipment before the vehicle moves to final inspection

  • Correct installation or wiring issues when necessary

  • Maintain clean, professional workmanship

  • Keep tools and work areas organized

  • Follow all safety and quality procedures

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 2 years of automotive electronics, 12-volt installation, or vehicle accessory installation experience

  • Working knowledge of 12-volt automotive electrical systems

  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics

  • Experience routing wiring through vehicle interiors

  • Experience removing and reinstalling trim panels and consoles

  • Experience using multimeters and basic electrical testing equipment

  • Ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting

  • Experience with crimping, wire termination, and soldering

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Strong attention to detail and installation quality

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Reliable attendance and ability to work the full schedule

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

  • Valid driver's license preferred
