What Is a Machine Setup?

A machine setup is the process of following a documented sequence of steps to configure a production machine, including its tooling, dies, fixtures, materials, settings, and operating parameters, so a specific part can be manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to required specifications.

The primary responsibility of the Setup Technician is machine readiness rather than continuous machine operation. Setup personnel may operate equipment for testing, validation, troubleshooting, or training purposes before releasing the machine for production.

Apply today with LINK Staffing if you are bilingual in English and Spanish, mechanically inclined, and ready to grow into a key technical and leadership position within a manufacturing environment.
