Job Summary
A growing building automation and controls company is seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Project Manager to oversee BAS projects from initial planning through completion. This individual will be responsible for estimating, project management, client communication, scheduling, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with building automation systems, HVAC controls, project management, and estimating.
Responsibilities
- Manage Building Automation System (BAS) projects from start to finish.
- Lead project teams while maintaining project schedules and financial goals.
- Prepare estimates for new construction projects and change orders.
- Develop project budgets, labor plans, and material requirements.
- Coordinate project schedules with internal departments and field personnel.
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates.
- Support business development efforts by assisting with customer meetings when needed.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout each project.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience
- Previous project management experience within the BAS or controls industry
- Experience estimating BAS projects and change orders
- Experience with one or more of the following systems:
- Automated Logic Controls (ALC)
- Tridium Niagara
- Distech Controls
- Strong knowledge of:
- HVAC systems
- Building automation systems
- Electrical systems
- Boilers
- Chillers
- Air conditioning systems
- Experience with energy management, building commissioning, or system diagnostics/troubleshooting preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management software
