Key Responsibilities
Independently set up, program (as applicable), and operate 5-axis CNC machines
Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and metric-based specifications
Perform precision machining to tight tolerances
Conduct in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to minimize downtime
Make tool offsets and adjustments as needed to ensure part quality
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines
Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work area
Requirements
Extensive experience operating and setting up 5-axis CNC machines
Strong understanding of GD&T and precision machining principles
Proficiency with metric measurements and inspection tools
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills for machine input and documentation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications
Background in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing
Vocational or technical certification in CNC machining
Experience with multi-axis or complex part production
