LINK Staffing is hiring a Controls Technician for a growing industrial manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced industrial electrician, electrical panel builder, or maintenance technician who can read schematics, build control panels, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems.

Job Highlights

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Build and wire electrical control panels according to schematics
• Install, connect, test, and troubleshoot electrical and control components
• Diagnose equipment problems involving 480V, 120V, and 24VDC systems
• Verify wiring, electrical connections, components, and control-panel functionality
• Assist with equipment installation, startup, repair, PLCs, VFDs, and motor drives
• Document wiring changes, completed repairs, and maintenance work
• Follow electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures

Requirements

• Hands-on industrial electrical or controls experience
• Comfortable working with 480V, 120V, and 24VDC systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience building and wiring electrical control panels
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• PLC, VFD, or motor-drive experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to follow electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures
• Controls Technician certification is not required
