This Assembly Supervisor role is a great opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, and developing people. You’ll oversee daily assembly operations within a power electronics manufacturing environment, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining strong safety, quality, and process standards.

You’ll lead assembly operations in a structured manufacturing environment supporting power electronics systems. The facility emphasizes safety, quality compliance, 6S organization, and continuous improvement, with cross-functional collaboration between production, quality, and leadership teams.
This role is based in Katy, TX and serves surrounding West Houston-area communities.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee daily assembly operations to meet production, quality, and safety targets
Plan work schedules, manage labor hours, and adjust staffing to maintain workflow
Identify productivity risks and escalate issues to management promptly
Interview, evaluate, and select assembly personnel
Assess team skill levels and coordinate training and development
Ensure tools, equipment, and workstations meet calibration and readiness requirements
Investigate part discrepancies and coordinate resolution with internal teams
Address quality non-conformances in partnership with Quality and Engineering
Issue work orders, drawings, specifications, and instructions to team leads
Troubleshoot assembly challenges and escalate complex issues as needed
Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with processes, PPE, safety, and 6S standards
Maintain production continuity during absences or staffing gaps
Leadership Expectations
Build and lead a capable, engaged, and accountable assembly team
Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback
Promote collaboration, continuous improvement, and adherence to company values
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role within manufacturing
Working knowledge of production and assembly processes
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Willingness to travel up to 5% as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in manufacturing or a related field
4+ years of supervisory experience in a production environment
Experience in power electronics or industrial manufacturing
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
Experience performing or overseeing quality inspections
Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems
