Warehouse Associate – $18.50/hr Starting Pay | Day Shift | Katy, TX Area

This Warehouse Associate position is a great opportunity for someone with shipping, receiving, or material handling experience who enjoys staying organized and keeping operations moving efficiently. You’ll support daily warehouse activities including inventory control, material movement, and order fulfillment in a safety-focused environment.

This is a full-time, temp-to-hire role located in the Katy, TX area, starting at $18.50/hour.

Where You’ll Work

You’ll work in a structured warehouse and stockroom environment supporting manufacturing and distribution operations. The facility emphasizes safety, accuracy, FIFO inventory practices, and 6S organization standards.

This role is based in Katy, TX, with access from surrounding West Houston-area communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, stage, and move inbound and outbound materials to designated storage locations

• Prepare finished products for shipment by packaging, wrapping, labeling, and staging materials

• Accurately pack and document returned materials to support RMA processing

• Record shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions accurately and on time in Oracle EBS

• Follow FIFO practices during material handling, storage, and picking activities

• Perform material handling tasks including receiving, order fulfillment, cycle counts, and discrepancy reporting

• Identify and report inventory discrepancies or material control issues to leads or supervisors

• Transport materials and enclosures safely using approved methods and equipment

• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other authorized lifting devices

• Maintain clean, organized work areas in accordance with 6S standards

• Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly

• Follow all warehouse safety, environmental health, and PPE requirements

• Provide temporary coverage for absent team members to maintain workflow continuity

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds

• Experience operating stand-up or sit-down forklifts and electric pallet jacks

• Ability to operate company box trucks (as required)

• Strong attention to detail and basic problem-solving skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with leads, supervisors, and team members

• Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accountability for assigned tasks
